TANYA PREMINGER is a Soviet artist who lives and teaches in Israel. She works with diverse media, such as sculpture, landscape art, installation and photography.
Many of Preminger’s creations get inspiration from the works of earlier environmental artists, like Michael Heizer’s large-scale cuts, Robert Smithson’s constructive approach and Andy Goldsworthy situational Land Art. Her work is also characterised by an undeniable sexual, feminist, and maternal vein.
She openly invites her public to participate, not only as viewers, but as co-creative authors.

My purpose is to express the immaterial essence of things in physical stuff: to make tangible the universal essence of creation.
